Every school will post one 90-second video to its cohort's Flipgrid page. Please include some or all of the following:
Post your video on your cohort’s Flipgrid by Friday, March 6, 2015. Don't know which cohort you are in? Click here to see the list! Not sure why we have cohorts? Watch our launch party video. Reminders:
| Optional extension: Are you looking for more ways to explore the theme this week? Feel free to post to one or more of these Padlet pages. Your posts are moderated, so they won't show up right away. |
Here we go! It's time to get started with our students. If you didn't get a chance to watch the launch party video, we recommend you do so before we begin.

Is there any way to change the color of the pins on the google map to our cohort color? It would be great to be able to look at the map and easily see our cohort. Thanks!

Lisa, that is a GREAT idea! I just edited the map to allow everyone to change their pin colors.

Hi, if we want to use Flipgrid on the iPad/iPhone, what is the hashtag. This is for the first 90 second video (not the one where we shared something about ourself).

I love the idea of having QR codes for our Flipgrids and Padlets. I'll make those and post them so everyone can print and use them if they'd like!

Ok, thanks for that. I've put that hashtag into my iPad, Flipgrid app, will show my children what has been created already...for inspiration! 3/3/2015 06:56:41 pm
We made a little movie at camp, answering the questions. We will add to the Flipgrid tomorrow. Camp movie: https://vimeo.com/121224909

No password is needed for Padlet; just use the links above. However, Padlet appears to be having technical issues and is not working at the moment. Check back later, and hopefully they'll have it back up and running!

HI My Deputy Principal signed up for our school, but I have since taken over. I seem to be missing out on the emails and the new passwords and links. Could you please add me to your email list and maybe send me the last email for Week 1. Many thanks. Nicky

Just a note that beginning with Week 1 there are no longer passwords on any of the Flipgrid questions or Padlet walls. Simply click the links in the blog post above to submit. 3/4/2015 10:32:20 am

Tina, You can check out a few things on flipgrid.com/support, and you are welcome to email us at [email protected]. My initial thoughts are that your school may be blocking certain types of content. If you pass this PDF (link below) on to your IT staff they should be able to get you up and running. Otherwise, you are welcome to connect at home or at a coffee shop. It should work without issue in other places without any trouble.Good luck, and have a great time with If You Learned Here!

Bradford, our school has not blocked Flipgrid. It just doesn't fully load. We recorded our video three times and after clicking on the Stop Recording button we were stuck. It never went anywhere. I DMed you on Twitter, but I thought it might help others if I share here as well. Recording takes a special type of internet connection that requires some instructions followed of that PDF I linked to above. Feel free to contact us at the email address above for additional help. We want to make sure your students get the access they need!

Tina, we were having the same problem today. We also experienced recording and the "Continue" button never popped. We tried three times and ended up recording the movie using the iPad, which took the picture backwards.

We worked so hard making a pretty nice sign... We even used a Cricut. Now it's reversed. Hopefully you have mirrors in your classroom...
